 Onich is situated a short distance
from famous Ben Nevis and Glencoe. The main road to Onich is
the A82, which runs all the way from Glasgow.
- It is about 10 miles south
of Fort William, to which daily train services run from Glasgow.
Regular services connect Glasgow to the rest of the UK.
- Bus services to Glasgow,
Edinburgh, Oban, Fort William and Inverness also run in this
region.
- Loch Linnhe, a sea-loch
with its southernmost reaches just to the north of Oban, splits
into two 'fingers' at Onich, one stretching northwards and the
other to the east.
